Our Community Initiative

Friendly Fridays At The Wellbeing Hub Community

"We are passionate in our belief that holistic therapies are for everyone, regardless of socioeconomic status and culture. We deliver our service in a non-judgemental way, to enable individuals to develop safe coping skills and strategies to achieve balance within mind, body and spirit."

 What Is Friendly Friday’s

Launched shortly after The Wellbeing Hub opened, Friendly Fridays provides a welcoming space for the community to access mini-treatments. What began with volunteers offering free sessions quickly blossomed into a highly demanded community lifeline. Today, we operate on a suggested £3 donation model, ensuring these vital therapies remain accessible to everyone, while helping cover our running costs.

More Than Just A Therapy Session

Participants frequently share that Friendly Fridays help fight loneliness, improve mental health, and create a true sense of belonging. Over the past year, we have proudly supported:

Local Carers: Partnering with the Glasgow North East Carers Centre to provide respite.

Families & Youth: Supporting individuals from FARE and local young single parents attending with their babies and health visitors.

Therapist Growth: Providing a supportive environment for new therapists and students to gain confidence, experience, and build their client base.

Growing To Meet The Need

As of June 2026, The Wellbeing Hub has expanded into our new wheelchair accessible second venue, at 22-24 Rogart Street. This incredible milestone means Friendly Friday is now fully accessible to everyone. Our goal is to increase this service to a weekly basis to meet the demand and further bridge the gap in community healthcare.

Support Friendly Friday: Partner With Us

To run Friendly Fridays as a regular fortnightly service costs exactly £3,952 per year. With extra funding, we can fairly compensate our dedicated therapists, increase the frequency of our sessions, and dramatically expand our impact on the mental and physical health of Glasgow's East End. Whether you are a local business looking for a meaningful sponsorship opportunity, or an individual who wants to pay it forward, your support changes lives.
